One part of the process of providing electricity to electricity consumers is the distribution of electricity. Underground electricity networks have been widely used, especially for areas that emphasize environmental aesthetics. In general, the disturbance in the underground cable is known if the underground cable connection is burned and the electricity is cut off. There is a need for equipment that can notify connection disorders in underground cables. So that with this tool can anticipate to avoid losses caused by damage to the underground cable connection.
In this study, a Wireless Monitoring and Safety indication design was made on underground cable connections using the Waypoint method. This monitoring and safety indication system is designed using ESP 32 as the controller. Furthermore, the data communication method uses a star topology whose data that has been read will be displayed on a website-based system. Waypoint is used in determining the location of the connection point on the underground cable that is experiencing interference. Then the topology used in communication is a star topology. Then there is a communication system between cable connections with a monitoring system that displays location data in the form of GPS coordinates.
