The student who made the title of this Final Project was Annisa Nur Faj Riyah from the D3 Ship Electrical Engineering Study Program.
An electric motor is a device that works to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. This motorbike has been widely used by humans, especially in industrial areas, because this motorbike can ease human work. This electric motor in industry is generally used continuously, but if the motor is used continuously, the motor will heat up and can be damaged. Prevent damage to the motor from occurring, then the motor should be given protection.
Based on the above problems, a prototype of motor protection against overheating and Arduino Uno-based current and voltage monitoring was made. The tool made has a way of working, namely the tool will detect the temperature on the motor, if the temperature reaches 100 then the LED and buzzer will light up as an alarm. The LED and buzzer will turn off when the temperature drops to and below 100⁰C. However, if the temperature on the motor soars high until it immediately reaches 105⁰C, the motor will automatically turn off and be accompanied by LEDs and buzzers that light up. In addition, this tool will also monitor the current, voltage, temperature and grounding of the motor.
