Design Solar Cell Prototype as Automatic Sliding Roof System Plant Based on Microcontroller

The student who made the title of this Final Project was Ainiyyah Pramesta Putri Wulandari from the D3 Ship Electrical Engineering Study Program.

Automatic Sliding Roof System is an automatic roof open-close system. The use of Sliding Roof is motivated by problems in buildings that can utilize sunlight and reduce the entry of sunlight as needed. The use of Automatic Sliding Roof System can be used multifunctionally in the building, in addition to maintaining air circulation and light quality in order to maintain humidity in the building, besides that the location adjustment can add its use value according to the use of each function of its placement.

In this final project, researchers will design an Automatic Sliding Roof with a generator through a Solar Cell using Arduino Uno as a microcontroller. The method used in working on this Final Project is design, which begins with making prototypes of Automatic Sliding Roof and Solar Cell. Followed by charging the battery by a solar cell through a solar charger controller. This automatic roof can be opened automatically and manually through the open-close button that will be processed on the Arduino Uno. Next, the L298N driver will control the motor as a roof drive. In automatic mode it uses the LDR sensor as an ambient light detector, and the rain sensor is used to detect rain. The readings of both sensors will be read by the LCD display which will then be processed by the microcontroller. A limit switch is used as a motor stop at the limit when opening and closing.
